Post Production: Final Thoughts

 Post Production Final

2/28/2021

After months of jotting down ideas, concepts, locations, and after months of shooting and editing i came up with a project I was incredibly proud of. I worked to the best of my abilities the first time around to perfect my film, despite the short duration. Leaving me to still be proud of my work even as it's a few months later.  Although the feedback from all my peers was tremendously helpful and inspiring, at the end of the day I didn't feel like the film needed the "extra scenes" or "different sound effects" that my peers previously suggested.

Going into the initial production of my project I envisioned something with a dark atmosphere all around. Both the lighting and sound quality, considering the genre of horror/ suspense i chose. Which I did my best to implement by my choice of camera angles and movements as well as the different pitches and background noises I included. For instance, in the opening 20 seconds the clock ticking sounds helped me build up suspense for the remaining minute and a half. Along with many other aspects like the switching of camera angles at a quick pace and wide angles to close ups.

So while this post was originally intended to be a post production update I personally made no changes to my project since I last uploaded it considering the state it was in. With all things considered,  i'm
extremely pleased with my work just as it is and am beyond excited to share it with you!
